- I've just submitted grades on SIS for those who already have an 'A' regardless
of HW7 and ICA12. Those grades should appear on your own SIS login tomorrow or Friday.
All others will be submitted after ICA12 and HW7 are graded. If you have any questions
about any of your grades, please ask us as soon as possible.

- Homework 7 is now available on the Homeworks page.
As alluded to in class, it is virtually identical to Homework 6,
but you are to write a Perl/Tk application rather than a Perl-based CGI application.
- Please pay special attention to the duedate of HW7 - Friday, December 5th, 2008. NO
LATE SUBMISSIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED.

- Labstaff has completed upgrading CSNet to Perl 5.10.0. You may now
use the features of 5.10 we've covered so far in class, including
say(),
the // operator, and given() { }. Remember
that to use any of these, you must include
use feature ':5.10'; at the top of your program.

- I finished grading ICA1. Please check your grades for ICA0 and ICA1
online. You will need the password you created on the signup form
when you click Check Grades
above. From there, click on your ICA point total to see each individual
grade and any comments I may have left. Not every student will have
comments for every ICA.

HW1 will be due in two weeks. You should work on Part A starting after
class today. Part B will be assigned next week.

- Before the end of the first class, please fill out This Signup Form. This will add you to the
course grading sheet and mailing list. The password you choose will
be used for checking your grades and submitting the assignments.
- You will need your laptop computers in every class of this
course. While it will be technically optional for the first class, it
is strongly suggested. We will cover connecting to
your RCS accounts, editing a file in Unix, and starting the perl
interpreter.
